Border Crossing Entry Dataset Dashboard

I wanna share my updated U.S. Border Crossing Dashboard, an interactive Dash application I developed primarily to explore and practice the latest advancements in Dash, particularly studio, MCP integration and Plotly Cloud deployment (This really was a big move!).

Since Dash became integrated with Jupyter, I’ve been using it as my preferred tool for presenting my data science projects. However, the recent introduction of Plotly Studio, MCP support and Plotly Cloud represented such a significant leap forward that I decided it was worth rebuilding my dashboard for that project from scratch. I’ve also completely moved away from Matplotlib and Seaborn. These days, I use only Plotly for all my charts and visualizations.

Because my main objective was to practice and apply what I’ve learned about Pandas 3, Dash, and their evolving capabilities, I intentionally reused a dataset I had previously cleaned in 2025 (or it was even 2024, I really don’t remember.) rather than starting with entirely new data.

The project focuses primarily on data cleaning, preparation, validation, optimization, and interactive presentation rather than conducting an extensive analysis of U.S. border-crossing activity.

What originally began as a hands-on learning exercise after studying Pandas and Dash, has evolved into a more polished & a 'Very Professional" project, thanks to all of those new tools dash / plotly have introduced in the last few months.

I’d welcome your feedback and suggestions for improvement!
