Variable line widths in scatter3d?

(First-time Plot.ly user so apologies if there is an obvious answer…)

I’m using scatter3d to map a social network graph. I can work out how to change the colour and size of the nodes. Is there any way to vary the colour, thickness and opacity of the individual lines between the nodes? That would let me show the weightings of the edges.

as well as colorscale options.
