Pricing and License

Hi Team Dash,

First of all, I would like to thank the developers specially Chris for this awesome product. Actually I’ve been playing on it for almost two months.

I just have one concern, Dash libraries is free in desktop environment but we have to pay if we deploy it in a web server, Am I right?

Appreciate your prompt reply on this matter, I really want to deep dive on this product, I want to learn more on this product.

Warm Regards,
Paul Caballero

No, Dash is MIT licensed (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MIT_License).

Plotly offers commercial solutions (https://plot.ly/dash/pricing/), and you can host your applications using Plotly Cloud (https://plot.ly/products/cloud/)

The commercial solutions allows for easy deployment in commercial IT environments, however if you want to do it yourself you don’t have to pay for anything.

(I’m not affiliated with Plotly, ensure you’re following all licensing/etc when developing commercial applications!)

My understanding after reading the https://plotly.com/dash/#pricing page is that the Dash core
code base is free software, but they have some add on features and services they charge for.

If I read it correctly, that says they have a price they charge for cloud hosted server service, for
cloud deployment and management, for some kinds of login/auth management options, and I;m not sure what else.
