Does plotly studio service is down?

I’m trying to use Plotly studio on my laptop but it keep repeating the message “I encountered an error while processing your request: Connection error.”

Can you please share a little more info:

  1. What operating system are you using: windows, OS, what version?
  2. What version of Plotly Studio do you have installed?
  3. Do you have a company firewall on your computer?
  4. At what point does this error appear?
  5. Can you please take a screenshot of it?

OS Windows, and yes I have a corporate VPN, yet I tried to access status.plotly.com from a device without corporate VPN, and it failed as well.

Have you been able to use Studio successfully prior to this error? Could you post your session ID? You can find it my clicking Menu > Feedback. This will open a webpage and the session ID should be visible on the page. You don’t have to submit the feedback.

Thanks for that. I’m able to look up your logs. I’ll try to figure out what’s going on, but it might not be until next week with the holidays. Regarding the service, it’s still operating on my end.

@offri_gil we were able to look at the available logs and couldn’t determine the issue from our end. If you feel like doing some digging, you could pull up the local logs from the day you had the issue and send them to me at cameron.decoster@plot.ly. Your logs should be located at %APPDATA%\com.plotly.studio\logs\.
