Job Description: Full Stack Developer
American Magic鈥檚 design team is looking for a full stack developer to assist in managing and enhancing their internal web-based data analysis toolbox. This is a full-time position located in Barcelona, Spain.
About American Magic: American Magic [https://americanmagic.americascup.com/] is a professional sailing team that will be racing a custom 75ft hydrofoiling boat in the 2024 America鈥檚 Cup, the pinnacle of sailing competitions. In addition to winning the next America鈥檚 Cup, the team mission includes developing an enduring sports franchise in the United States.
About the Role: The Developer will help the team win on the racecourse by working to maintain and enhance the team鈥檚 performance portal tool through aiding in the execution of an aggressive development plan. This role will assist the performance team in designing and implementing new features while simultaneously preserving current functionality and integration with the team鈥檚 elaborate data management processes. As such, candidates for this position should be familiar with web-based interface construction and data analysis techniques, plus be comfortable working in a deadline intensive, high energy environment.
Role includes:
路Managing the day to day functionality of the performance portal tool
路Working as a member of the mechatronics and performance analysis teams to progress feature adds through from development to production
路Controlling the feature upgrade task list
路Scheduling and managing team training sessions as necessary
路Working with the performance analysis team to assist in analyzing and presenting data to designers, coaches, and sailing team
路Assisting in the maintenance and improvement of the data management system/processes
路Aiding in the execution of an aggressive development plan for this America鈥檚 Cup edition and future campaigns
路Proficiency in Python, HTML5, JavaScript, Dash, Plotly, FastAPI, Docker, ETL, MySQL, D3, R
路This full-time position is on location at our team facilities in Barcelona, Spain

路Compensation commensurate with experience and includes scaled bonuses
