Hey everyone,
Happy to announce that version 2.0.0 of dash-bootstrap-components is now released!
This version doesn’t have many big new user facing features, but everything is now fully compatible with dash 3.0.0. At the same time we’ve taken the opportunity to migrate to React 18 and upgrade all our dependencies to ensure the library remains healthy and reliable.
There are a few breaking changes, mostly in the form of props that previously were marked as deprecated that have now been removed. You can find details in our changelog

A Huge Thank You to @tcbegley for Dash Bootstrap Components 2.0.0!
I want to take a moment to recognize the incredible work that went into this Dash Bootstrap Components 2.0.0 release.
From the release announcement, it might seem like a small update, but behind the scenes, this was a huge effort:
- Every single component had to be updated—206 files changed
- Countless hours spent on evenings and weekends
- Ensuring full compatibility with Dash 3
dbc isn’t just another library—it’s the most popular community component library for Dash, with over 1 million downloads per month and a “critical” package designation on PyPI for being in the top 1% of downloads.
This kind of dedication deserves appreciation! If you use dbc in your projects, please join me in thanking Tom for his hard work in keeping this essential library up to date.
