A message to the community re COVID-19

Hello everybody,

The global coronavirus pandemic is affecting everyone—our families, our community, and our companies. In this time of uncertainty, we feel it’s more important than ever to work together to practice patience, diligence, and to stay informed. Here at Plotly, we would first like to extend our thoughts to those who have been impacted by COVID-19 and wish all those diagnosed a speedy and full recovery.

We would also like to send a special thank you to all healthcare professionals who selflessly place themselves in the midst of the pandemic to care for others and sacrifice their time and health to help control the spread of the virus.

At Plotly, we take this health crisis seriously. The health of our employees and our community is and will remain our top priority. As you may know, we have always maintained a fluid remote work policy for our employees, knowing that our team could support our mission and that of our customers from any location. Last week, we took the additional step to temporarily close both of our offices and asked that all US and Canadian employees work remotely. Additionally, out of an abundance of caution, we have canceled in-person attendance at all scheduled trade shows and events through September.

We understand that your needs haven’t stopped, so neither have we. Especially in times of crisis, access to data and information becomes even more critical. We are fully prepared and able to support all of our customers remotely. We are committed to ensuring your Dash development and usage continues to run smoothly and we are here for you throughout these next few months with whatever help you may need. Additionally, we’ve shifted all workshops, trainings, and meetings to video conference calls to ensure your projects keep moving ahead.

We’re glad to see that Dash is able to help communities stay informed during this time. We’ve seen a number of Dash apps that have been created to track the trends of this virus, and are proud that our products are able to inform the larger community quickly and effectively.

As always, we’re in this together. Plotly has prided ourselves on our sense of community and togetherness, and that will stand true as we navigate our new normal over the next few months.

Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns, and we will be sure to keep you updated with any and all information as it becomes available.

Stay safe, healthy, and take care of each other

Sincerely,
Chris & the Plotly Team
