Reduce thickness of border line width, go.choroplethmap

Is there any way to reduce the thickness of the border width in go.choroplethmap? I am just looking at the example provided by the documentation and the borders appear much too thick. However, I could not find a solution in the reference docs.

Can you try marker=dict(line=dict(width=1.5, color='black')) ?
