Offline.html page not appearing on dash app deployed as PWA

Hi guys,

I followed @adamschroeder’s excellent video to enable my Dash app as a PWA (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aBWqWVBaqhI&ab_channel=CharmingData)

My app is installable as a PWA, and I believe my service worker is correctly registered as in chrome dev tools it shows as green and also I can see that several of my files , including offline.html, have been cached as requested.

However it seems that when I load my PWA with no internet connection, I just get the default Android/IOS/Windows “you’re offline” screen, and not the offline.html file.

Has anyone been able to get a fallback offline.html page working with Dash?

I’m glad you asked this question. It’s been a while since I made that video, which is why I’m not sure what the solution is. But if I am able to find out, I’ll let you know.
