Scaling plot while keeping fixed bar size when you add more traces

Following the horizontal boxplot example found here:

The more traces I add the more it will scale down the size of the bars to fit within the plot size. Is there a straightforward way to do the reverse, to keep the same bar size but scale up the actual plot as you add more traces?
