Evenly distributed timeseries

Hi there Plotly team

Firstly, thanks for this fantastic library

My question is the following:

Is there any way to evenly distribute data points when x axis is of date type.
Default behavior is to locate points by their date. But when there are big time gaps without data this can cause the chart to deform visually.

Not sure if this is covered in 1382 as these are different trace types?
