Dash Sliders : DAQ vs Core

I notice there are two different sliders.
. dcc.Slider | Dash for Python Documentation | Plotly
. dash_daq.Slider | Dash for Python Documentation | Plotly
I notice that they are very similar but with some differences.
Why would one choose one over the other?

With DAQ, you can create vertical slider. The handle also look quite different. Overall, the design would better match with other DAQ components compared to DCC Sliders, and it allows you to use the dark mode.
