In this role you will:

  • Business Intelligence
    • Drive business performance analysis including internal and regulatory reporting for the GTB businesses
    • Liase with BI team members and individual GTB businesses and strategic partners to understand data needs and build reporting dashboards
    • Build knowledge and insights of GTB’s business lines and participate in the ongoing documentation of data sources and business processes
  • Business Innovation (automation, simplification, new capability/tools)
    • Identify linkages between business processes and data sources to leverage opportunities for automation and simplification
    • Create efficiencies and eliminate redundancies in the existing business processes and thereby ensure a fast and smooth upstream/downstream flow
  • Billing & Product Support
    • Manage the monthly billing processes for Corporate and Financial Institutions clients to ensure revenue is properly collected for GTB products and services
    • Drive historical and projected analytics and build expertise in product utilization /pricing

Job Requirements

  • Qualifications & Skills

    • Undergraduate degree required and 2+ years relevant work experience
    • Advanced degrees in a relevant field are preferable but not required
    • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to work well on a team
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Proactive, positive attitude with an insatiable desire to learn
    • Results oriented and comfortable managing multiple deliverables
    • Attention to detail and high personal standards for accuracy
    • Ability to think conceptually, work through multi-step processes, identify processing concerns and escalate / offer solutions accordingly
  • Technical Capabilities (introductory knowledge required, demonstrated skills would be an asset)

    • Programming: Python, Numpy, Pandas, Plotly, Dash, Matplotlib
    • Platforms: GitHub, Jupiter Notebook, Firebase, PyCharm
    • Database: SQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL
    • Big Data: Hadoop, Hive, Spark
    • BI Tools: Tableau, Alteryx
    • Statistics: classification/regression models, time series analysis, clustering
  • Experience

    • Demonstrated ability to manage projects (experience with JIRA would be an asset), strong organizational, follow-up and priority-setting skills to handle multiple tasks/projects, and to work independently
    • Remain flexible with shifting priorities and able to function under deadlines with minimal supervision; able to work with teams and deal with uncertainty in data
    • Embrace a sense of ownership over your own work to deliver quality and timely results
