Change the title of one of the modebarbuttons

Is there a way to change just the name of ‘Box Select’ to simply ‘Add Selection’, I want the same behavior, same everything, just different title appearing on hover.

Please advise.

There’s no easy way to do this at the moment unfortunately.

I invite you to read https://github.com/plotly/plotly.js/issues/4036 - which offers a workaround and specs out a potential feature.
