Box Plot - hover info of fences

Hi,

Can anyone shed any light on how Plotly decides which information to show on hover with a box plot?

I have shown my example below.

Sometimes the lower the lower fence is identified as “lower fence” and in other cases it will show “minimum”, and analogously with “upper fence”/ “max”.

I know the lower fence is determined by finding the last sample point below Q1 - 1.5 x IQR; I’m thinking maybe “lower fence” is used if this last sample point is not the minimum of the data set, and “min” used when it is. Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks,
Liam.
