Using LaTeX on surface plot axes

I have tried to use latex syntax on 3D surface axes labels but it doesn’t get rendered as LaTeX.

The same exact thing works fine for me on 2d line graphs.

While on 2D graphs (works) I set up the label like this:

layout['xaxis'] = {
	title: '$'+json['xlabel']+'$'
};

On 3D graphs (does not work) I have do it like this:

layout['scene'] = {
		xaxis: {title: '$'+json['xlabel']+'$'}
};

---

Am I doing something wrong?
Does anyone know why LaTeX rendering works on 2D graphs but not on 3D ones?

LaTeX symbols aren’t supported on 3D graphs at the moment.

You can subscribe to https://github.com/plotly/plotly.js/issues/608 for the latest development info.
