Trying to create a plot with DTED terrain data

We are trying to create a plat that will display the terrain elevation data from DETD. We have found a way to do it in MATPLOTLIB but would like to us plotly.

In general, take a look at surface plots:

DTED is digital terrain Elevation data, map data. We will take a look at the link you sent to see if that will work for us.
