I am trying to plot data that are generated at 6 hour intervals (e.g., 01-06 00) but I would like to hide the hour values on the x-axis tick labels (see https://plot.ly/~dlmalm/92/?share_key=THbbdRJuoC2Q1og0yOhJ53). I have looked through the tick format threads here, and thus tried to format the tick labels as %MM-=%DD, but I don’t see any tick-format options in my x-axis, only the y axis.
Your x
coordinates aren’t valid plotly dates.
See https://help.plot.ly/date-format-and-time-series/ for more info.
Thanks for the feedback. I could use the “yyyy-mm-dd HH:MM:SS.sssss” format, but I’m not sure how to handle that since the purpose of the chart is to compare hypoxia values from year to year, not to show the complete time series of values from 2014 to 2017.
