Page scrolling is freezing

With heavy charts (thousands of points + thousands of shapes) the vertical scroll bar is freezing producing a very bad UX. Any improvements can be done to improve overall UX?

I will try to come up with an example, but as I am describing like this: it has to be a number of charts stuck up vertically so the scroll bar appears right away. Then each chart must have thousands of points and what’s more important thousands of shapes which are vertical stripes across the whole plot.

. I think the problem is shapes. If I relayout without shapes it would take < 1 sec, but with shapes when they are meny it might take 6-10 secs. and that is when it’s freezing.
