Change defaults line colors - Scatter

Is it possible to change the defaults line colors besides manually setting the color ? I’ve noticed that currently, it’s blue then orange.

Note: I changed the category to API/Python.

I am working with random number of traces. It is then difficult to explicitly assign specific colors to specific traces.

I was more looking for a programmatically method to change the default palette. As you can find when you edit your chart:
