Align legend graphic/text when wrapping text

i have a barchart that has some rather long text in the legend. i’m fine with wrapping the text but the legend text & legend graphic are center aligned. any workaround to get this top aligned?

the text here is padded top & bottom to help illustrate the problem.

besides the br tag does the legend understand any other HTML/CSS? any chance i could simply jam in some more inline style to do this?
