3d contained surface not in accordance with the 3d containing space

As you can see above, there is a big mismatch in terms of “scale” between the 3d-surface and all the rest of the figure (the 3d-containing space and the hover box, which are correct in their measurement!). Actually, if one goes to 3D Surface Plots in …, one can see the same problem,

Also, if I rotate the figure, it appears to be “thick” with no reasons, see

You can subscribe to https://github.com/plotly/plotly.js/issues/2208 for the latest development info. That said, this bug won’t be up on our priority list I’m afraid.
