Can I set tickformat to a function that will accept a value of each tick?

Thanks

No, tickformat expects a string, which is properly documented… Please do look at the documentation [https://plot.ly/javascript/reference/#layout-xaxis-tickformat](https://plot.ly/javascript/reference/#layout-xaxis-tickformat)

Also if you had googled “plotly tickformat function” you would have hit [https://github.com/plotly/plotly.js/issues/1464](https://github.com/plotly/plotly.js/issues/1464)

You’re really not putting any effort in your research at all but demand more support from plotly staff: [To Plotly staff](https://community.plotly.com/t/to-plotly-staff/14097) I think you should reflect upon how you’re treating the community and plotly staff here.
