# Straight equilateral triangle marker?

Hello,
I’m curious if there is interest from anyone else in having a straight-lined equilateral triangle marker? I saw one other post about non-equant markers and a suggestion was made in it of having an equilateral triangle. This symbol is fairly common and I think would be beneficial/desired by other users (i may be wrong here). I’m just curious if there is any consideration for this marker being added, and if not, why not?

_Default:_ `"circle"` Sets the marker symbol type. Adding 100 is equivalent to appending “-open” to a symbol name. Adding 200 is equivalent to appending “-dot” to a symbol name. Adding 300 is equivalent to appending “-open-dot” or “dot-open” to a symbol name.

There is no straight equilateral triangle here. I faced the same issue. The most similar one is `triangle-up` but it is not equilateral, and when placed near text, for example in legend, it is clearly above the middle of the text line, which looks clunky.
