# Select the same menu item multiple time

Hi,  
I want to ask if we can select the same menu item from a dropdown multiple time and keep get the same value ?  
The way it is now i see that when we select an item, it will be highlight and selected, but if we click on that item again, nothing happen.

Like in the example from [Dropdown | Dash for Python Documentation | Plotly](https://dash.plotly.com/dash-core-components/dropdown)  
If i select Montreal, its value is MTL and it changed to bold (current select) and if i press Montreal again, nothing trigger. I want to ask if i can select the same dropdown menu item multiple time.

Hi @Hiro.Nguyen,  
Can you be more specific about which component or “menu item” you are referring to? Or if you can share images or a minimal example of what you are trying to do, this would help others to help you more quickly.
