# Search Dropdown in Dash

Hi, I would like to add search field in which users could type keywords and find content in my app. I need something similar to this community page search option. I would like to type something and get results in dropdown. Is it possible to achieve using dash components? Thanks for help.

Ok, it is possible to achieve this using [Dynamic dropdown options](https://dash.plotly.com/dash-core-components/dropdown#dynamic-options).

You should also remember about [Custom search values](https://dash.plotly.com/dash-core-components/dropdown?_gl=1*1eo5w3g*_ga*MjYyMTQ3MzM1LjE2NTc1MzYyMzE.*_ga_6G7EE0JNSC*MTY3OTMxNzE5OS4xNDQuMS4xNjc5MzE3MjM1LjAuMC4w#custom-search-values), to avoid filtering by values.
