Problems setting orca up

Hey,

I would like to plot data using plotly and export the graph via an image.

Using plotly and outputtting the graph via an html works fine.
I tried outputting as a jpeg, I was prompted to install orca. I installed it via the AppImage

Typing “orca” in the terminal shows:

Plotly’s image-exporting utilities

Usage: orca [–version] [–help] []

Available commands:

  • graph [or plotly-graph, plotly_graph]
Generates an image of plotly graph from inputted plotly.js JSON attributes.
For more info, run orca graph --help.
  • serve [or server]
Boots up a server with one route per available export component
For more info, run orca serve --help.

which means that orca was installed correctly.

I then tried running the sample code on “https://plotly.com/python/orca-management/#configuring-the-executable”:

import plotly.io as pio
pio.orca.config

and it resulted in many errors:

/bin/sh: switchml: Zeile 1: Syntax Fehler: Unerwartetes Dateiende.
/bin/sh: scl: Zeile 1: Syntax Fehler: Unerwartetes Dateiende.
/bin/sh: Fehler beim Importieren der Funktionsdefinition für `scl’.

[translated]

/bin/sh: switchml: Line 1: Syntax Error: Unexpected end of file.
/bin/sh: error importing the ffunction definitions for switchml'. /bin/sh: module: Line 1: Syntax Error: Unexpected end of file. /bin/sh: error importing the ffunction definitions formodule’.
/bin/sh: scl: Line 1: Syntax Error: Unexpected end of file.

Can you help me out?

I am using Fedora Linux and Atom Editor.
