# How to highlight a trace in plotly linechart

Hello,

I would like to highlight a trace on hover an external button. Is there any build-in solution for that?  
Or should I use something like plot it again with an other color or do something in svg on my own?

Is there a possibility to do the same thing with plotly python library?
