GeoJSON return from MySQL query

I am using the Plotly Database Connector to connect to, query and plot data from a MySQL database. I can successfully connect to the database and run simple queries, returning expected results. However, for larger, more complex queries, some of the columns returned are populated with “GeoJSON X”, where X is a sequentially larger number. The same query in a MySQL client or via command line yields the proper data in the column, whether it’s text, datetime, integer, etc. I’ve run the course trying to find a solution. Has anyone else observed a similar problem?

Thanks to all, in advance
