# Edit modebar of live-chart linked to Falcon SQL

Hi guys,

I created a couple of live-charts via Plotly´s own Falcon SQL API.  
As there is no way to do this programmatically (yet) I edited the layout etc. in the cloud editor. However not everything can be edited in there. For instance I want to make some changes to the modebar.  
Given the existing chart, how can I modify the “modebar”. I know how to fetch a chart from the plotly cloud & how to edit what I need in python, but when I upload it again under the same name the link between the live grid & the chart breaks…
