I would like to trigger a callback when a user focuses an dcc.Input component. I thought that every component should have an n\_clicks property (also metnioned here [Using div click to trigger callback](https://community.plotly.com/t/using-div-click-to-trigger-callback/8854/2?)). Looking at the docs ([https://dash.plot.ly/dash-core-components/input](https://dash.plot.ly/dash-core-components/input)) this property seems to be missing.

Am I overlooking something? Is there any proposed workaround?

Thanks for any hints!

Hi Bjonen,

I don’t think this is an option (anymore). The help function doesn’t include a n\_clicks aswell.

Perhaps @nedned could comment.
