Dash cgi deployment issue

I have the following as my app. I am served the content if I comment off the line marked ->>> below. If I uncomment, then the server errors out. I am yet to get the error message from the server folks. I wanted to ask this question here in case someone has already seen this issue. I will update soon.

from flask import Flask, render_template
import dash
server = Flask(name)
->>> app = dash.Dash(name, server = server)

@server.route(’/asdf/qwer’)
def home():
return render_template(‘home.html’)

import os
import sys

from wsgiref.handlers import CGIHandler
from testapp import server

CGIHandler().run(server)

Folks. It looks like dcc.location + dcc.link are the way to go. I use the app.server only for deploying app. Not using flask @app.route. This solved the issue. An explanation on why flask app.route does not work would help though.
